The world has made remarkable progress against global poverty and disease in the past generation, but the job is not finished and future progress is in jeopardy. This is why the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation are launching Goalkeepers, the Foundation’s first annual report and global event dedicated to accelerating progress towards the Global Goals.

The inaugural Goalkeepers progress report will be released on Sept. 13, tracking 18 indicators from the Goals, highlighting what’s working and what’s not, and telling the stories behind the data.

Goalkeepers is an event to celebrate progress and inspire a new generation of advocates for development. It will be hosted by Bill and Melinda Gates and have a particular focus on health, women and girls, as well as the technology behind this progress.
